What is Myopia?
Myopia (short-sightedness) is when a child can see things close-up but needs glasses to see better in the distance. By 2050 it is estimated that half the world’s population will be short-sighted, with up to one-fifth at significantly increased risk of blindness if the current trends continue. Myopia progression, if not controlled, can affect a child’s education as they will struggle to read the classroom whiteboard.
How to control myopia progression

MiSight contact lenses from Coopervision consist of a specialist optical design which may help slow down the speed at which myopia progresses.
